According to the US SEC filing on Tuesday, Tesla CEO Elon Musk donated $1.95 billion worth of Tesla stock last year.
As per the filing, Musk donated about 11.6 million shares between August and December of last year.
However, it has not been specified which organization or who were the recipients of the donation. Reports suggest that Elon Musk donated approximately $5.74 billion in 2021 however, analysts believe musk would benefit from donating Tesla stock to charity because shares donated to charities do not have to pay capital gains tax. In 2012, Elon Musk signed a Giving Pledge to donate at least half of his wealth to philanthropy in their lifetime or upon their death.
